NESD Transportation Announcement
July 27, 2023
This message is from Northeastern School District’s transportation department. For the 2023-2024 school year, our district will have a transportation blackout period from August 14 th through September 5th. During this time period, there will be no changes made to existing student bus or van assignments, transfer of bus or van stop location, or creation of a new bus or van stop. The exceptions will be for new student enrollment within this time window and any student with an individual education plan (IEP). For these individual cases, there may be up to a five day delay to provide a transportation assignment to an existing stop location for regular education students or new or altered transportation assignment for special education students. The primary method of communication for transportation assignments is through the Sapphire software program. Any further questions are directed to Steve Burk, Transportation Coordinator, at burks@nebobcats.org.
