NESD Right At School Childcare
Northeastern School District has partnered with Right At School to provide before school and after school care for students in grades kindergarten through 6th. Programming wlll be provided at all four elementary schools during the school year. Before and after school care will begin on August 18, 2026. Register below!

Right At School is a nationally recognized provider of high-quality before- and after-school programs designed to support working families and enrich students’ learning beyond the school day. The program offers a safe, engaging environment where students participate in structured academic support, physical activity, enrichment projects, and social-emotional learning. Q: Will before school care be provided on a 2 hour delay start when school is impacted by weather?
A: Yes, care will be provided and will start two hours later than a normal schedule. For example, if the program typically starts at 6:30 am, the two hour delay schedule will allow parents to drop their child off at 8:30 am.
Q: Will after school care be provided on scheduled early dismissal days?
A: Yes, after school care will begin immediately after dismissal and will run through the end of the regular program time which is 6:00 pm. For example, if the school dimisses at 12:30 pm, the programming will begin at 12:30 and run through 6:00 pm.
Q: Will after school care be provided on an emergency or inclement weather early dismissal?
A: No, an emergency situation will require school property to be vacated consistent with school district procedures.
Q: What care is being provided on a school district scheduled in-service day, holiday breaks, etc?
- A: In service Day- Yes, care will be provided all day during an in service day from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.
- A: Holidays- On nationally recognized holidays (such as but not limited to Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Good Friday, President's Day, and MLK Day) when the district is specifically closed, care will not be provided. However, during some holiday breaks, care will be provided on certain days. Specific information is dependent upon the calendar year and will be communicated to parents directly from Right At School.
